ALS Med Ltd was founded by two paramedics with a passion for high-quality and affordable event medical cover. Recruiting a range of trusted, well-experienced and dedicated staff, ALS Med promises to provide a world-class service, for an affordable price. With over a decade of event medicine experience, we already have a range of experience in music festivals, sporting, dirt track events, music events, fun fairs and more!

One thing we have noticed with current NHS demand is the increase in wait times. Having an onsite medical team means you can eliminate the lengthy waiting times of responding ambulances from the local ambulance service. We can see, assess, treat and safely discharge patients on-site due to a wide range of clinical skills and equipment at our disposal; thus reducing the demand on the local NHS ambulance service.

We have a plethora of staff and skillsets which include FREC Responders, Frontline Ambulance Staff (Technicians and Paramedics), Advanced Practitioners, Critical Care Team members and a range of command and control staff.

Meet the Team

Alex Blenkiron - Managing Director, Paramedic (EDP)

Alex has worked for his local NHS ambulance service for the past 6 years and now works in an Accident & Emergency Department as an Emergency Department Paramedic and has a passion for pre-hospital & emergency medicine. Alex has completed several extra courses such as wound closure & ultrasound, and a range of analysis tests allowing him to prevent further A&E attendances for simple things which can be treated in the community.

Alex has a passion for teaching people new skills. From advanced life support to first aid training, he has delivered countless courses to help enable those willing to learn to develop new skills to practice.

Areas of Specialty

Pre-Hospital Emergency Care

Our staff are all highly skilled in pre-hospital care and some of them have completed their Pre-Hospital Emergency Care courses with local critical care charities such as BASICS and Great North Air Ambulance.

Trauma Care

Pre-Hospital Emergency Care

Our staff regularly have Trauma CPD which ensures their knowledge and skillsets are up to date and ensures your customers have the best possible most relevant care pre-hospitally.

Extended Skills

First Aid Training

We can provide lots of extended skills such as ultrasound and FAST scans, wound closure (suturing), urine dips, acute urinary catheterisation, enhanced pain relief & independent prescribers.

First Aid Training

We believe there is no one better to deliver first aid training than one of our registered First Aid Trainers who in their full-time jobs are Paramedics working in the NHS. Our paramedics can deliver first-hand experience of pre-hospital care.
